The Bylaw Chesterfield is probably the finest leather upholstered Chesterfield on the market today. The substantial beech frame is trimmed with solid oak and stands on sturdy oak bun feet hand polished using Bylaw's painstaking methods. In the upholstery workshop the frame receives the attentions of an individual craftsman responsible for its careful completion in readiness for another specialist who will polish, age and wax the hide. Old fashioned hessian, jute webbing and white cotton felt are just some of the traditional materials employed. Within the three-seater Chesterfield pictured, there are no less than forty-eight 9" coil springs individually hand stitched to the jute webbing to form the sumptuous base. Seat cushions filled with feather and down assure that supreme comfort. The hand polished russet hide, trimmed with aged brass studs finish what we believe to be a Chesterfield without rivals.
