The unique Bylaw finishing starts long before the furniture reaches the "polishing shop". It starts with the painstaking hand planing and sanding of the timber before construction commences. With construction complete, special water based dyes enable us to achieve a subtle range of timber tones. Up to sixteen different processes result in the unique deep wax finish preferred by many Bylaw customers.

Finishing can result in the appearance of a treasured antique or if preferred, a more contemporary light finish can be achieved. You may even decide to have your Bylaw piece painted? We can match to your colour patterns (perhaps a family heirloom) or you can select from an example piece in our showroom or choose from our extensive library of timber samples.
